    frequently asked questions

Shea butter is highly effective at moisturizing the skin and keeping it hydrated. It contains a rich concentration of fatty acids and vitamins, which nourish and protect the skin's natural barrier. The emollient properties of shea butter make it an excellent choice for soothing dry and chapped skin. It helps to alleviate itching, redness, and irritation. Shea butter is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, making it helpful in providing relief for various skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, and sunburn. It can help reduce redness, swelling, and itching associated with these conditions.
Shea butter is an excellent moisturizer for dry and damaged hair. It helps to seal in moisture and prevents the hair from becoming dry and brittle. Regular use of shea butter can make the hair softer, smoother, and more manageable.
Shea butter is often considered beneficial for eczema due to its moisturizing and nourishing properties. While it may not be a cure for eczema, it can help alleviate some of the symptoms and provide relief. Shea butter contains compounds with anti-inflammatory properties, such as cinnamic acid. These compounds can help reduce inflammation and soothe irritated skin, which is a common symptom of eczema.
Shea butter is generally considered safe for sensitive skin, but individual reactions may vary. Many people with sensitive skin find shea butter to be gentle and non-irritating, making it a popular choice for natural skincare. It does not contain many of the harsh chemicals and additives that can trigger sensitivity reactions in some individuals. However, it's important to note that some people may still be sensitive or allergic to shea butter, so it's always recommended to do a patch test before applying it to larger areas of the skin.
Yes, shea butter can be used on the face. In fact, many people incorporate shea butter into their facial skincare routines due to its moisturizing and nourishing properties. Shea butter forms a protective barrier on the skin, helping to lock in moisture and protect the skin from environmental aggressors. This barrier can be particularly beneficial for those with dry or sensitive skin, providing a shield against harsh weather conditions or pollution.
