Neem is considered antibacterial due to its rich bioactive compounds, particularly triterpenoids, nimbidin, and gedunin, found in various parts of the neem tree (Azadirachta indica). These compounds possess potent antibacterial properties that can help combat a wide range of harmful bacteria. Neem's antibacterial action works by disrupting the bacterial cell membranes and inhibiting their growth and reproduction. This action makes neem an effective natural remedy for various bacterial infections, including those affecting the skin, such as acne and dermatitis.
Tea tree oil (Melaleuca alternifolia) is known for its powerful antibacterial properties. It contains several bioactive compounds, primarily terpenes, which contribute to its antibacterial effects. The main antibacterial component in tea tree oil is called terpinen-4-ol, which is responsible for much of its antimicrobial activity
Aloe vera contains compounds such as polysaccharides and glycoproteins that exhibit anti-inflammatory properties. When applied to the skin, these compounds help reduce inflammation, redness, and swelling, providing relief to irritated or sunburned skin.
The skin on our hands is thinner and more susceptible to dryness compared to other parts of the body. Hand creams are designed to provide intense hydration, helping to prevent dry, cracked, and rough skin. Regular moisturization keeps the skin supple and soft, preventing discomfort and potential skin issues.
After washing your hands: Handwashing is essential for maintaining good hygiene, but it can also strip your skin of its natural oils, leaving it dry. After washing your hands, pat them dry gently and immediately apply hand lotion to lock in moisture.
