At Fushi, every ingredient has a story. Our organic turmeric begins its journey in the fertile fields of North Karnataka, India, where generations of farming families have cultivated this golden root using traditional knowledge and regenerative farming practices. More than an ingredient, it's a symbol of community, heritage and a deep respect for nature that shines through in every harvest.

Meet the Communities behind our Turmeric

Our turmeric is grown by the Gokak Taluk Savayava Krishikara Sangha, a cooperative of 146 farming families in the Belagavi district of Karnataka. Working together allows smallholder farmers to share knowledge, strengthen local livelihoods and create greater opportunities for women and future generations.


Every harvest supports not only the families who grow it, but the wider community through employment, skills development and sustainable farming that protects the land for years to come.

Harvested in Harmony with Nature

At Fushi, seasonal cycles play a crucial role in our work.


Harvested between January and March, each turmeric rhizome is carefully cured, sun-dried and prepared using time-honoured methods that preserve its natural potency. The farms use regenerative organic practices including crop rotation, composting, natural bio-pesticides and water-efficient irrigation to nurture healthy soil while protecting biodiversity.


Every batch is fully traceable and independently tested for purity, ensuring exceptional quality from field to finished product.

Known as Haldi across India, turmeric has been treasured in Ayurvedic tradition for centuries.
