Frequently Asked Questions

Is Fushi Aloe Vera Juice aloin & latex-free?

Yes, Fushi Aloe Vera Juice is aloin and latex free. Aloin is only present in the Latex. Fushi’s Aloe Vera juice is not filtered and does not contain latex. Aloe produces two substances, gel and latex, which are used for medicines. Aloe gel is the clear, jelly-like substance found in the inner part of the aloe plant leaf. Aloe latex comes from just under the plant's skin and is yellow in colour.

What is the pH level of Fushi Aloe Vera Juice?

Fushi Aloe Vera Juice has a pH of between 3.6 and 4. Ripe aloe leaves naturally sit at around 4–4.2, so a small amount of citric acid (0.1%, derived from the fermentation of tapioca starch) is added to bring the pH slightly lower. This ensures the juice remains shelf-stable following pasteurisation, without the need for any synthetic preservatives.

What are the preservatives used in Fushi Aloe Vera Juice?

Citric acid derived from a food source - from the fermentation of tapioca starch is the preservative used.

Can you take Aloe Vera Juice continuously?

It is advised to take a break every 3 weeks, in order for the body to not become dependent on the juice. If you find you need to take Aloe Vera Juice on a regular basis, make sure you consult with a qualified expert before.

What are the benefits of probiotics?

Probiotics help maintain a healthy balance of beneficial bacteria in the gut, which can support digestion, reduce symptoms of digestive disorders (such as diarrhoea, constipation, and irritable bowel syndrome), and promote overall gut health. Probiotics can modulate the immune system, promoting a balanced immune response and potentially reducing the risk of certain infections and allergies. Probiotics can help prevent or alleviate antibiotic-associated diarrhoea by restoring the natural balance of gut bacteria disrupted by antibiotic use.

How do I know I need probiotics?

If you frequently experience digestive issues like bloating, gas, diarrhoea, or constipation, it could indicate an imbalance in gut bacteria, which probiotics may help address. Antibiotics can disrupt the natural balance of gut bacteria, leading to digestive problems. Taking probiotics alongside antibiotics may help prevent antibiotic-associated diarrhoea and maintain gut health. If you have a weakened immune system or a history of frequent infections, probiotics may support immune function and potentially reduce the risk of certain infections. Skin conditions like acne, eczema, or rosacea may be influenced by the gut microbiome. Probiotics might help promote a healthier balance of gut bacteria, potentially benefiting the skin. It's important to note that while probiotics have shown potential benefits, they may not be necessary or suitable for everyone.

How do you know your gut is unhealthy?

There are several signs and symptoms that may indicate an unhealthy gut. While these symptoms are not exclusive to gut issues and can be caused by other factors, they can serve as indicators to consider the health of your gut. Frequent bloating, gas, constipation, diarrhea, or irregular bowel movements can be signs of an imbalanced gut. Persistent digestive discomfort or changes in bowel habits may suggest an underlying gut issue. Developing new or worsening food intolerances, such as lactose intolerance or gluten sensitivity, could indicate gut health problems. These intolerances can result from an impaired gut barrier or reduced enzyme production. Chronic fatigue and low energy, a poorly functioning gut can impact nutrient absorption, leading to nutrient deficiencies and reduced energy levels. If you frequently feel fatigued or lack energy despite adequate rest, it may be linked to an unhealthy gut. Mood disorders, the gut and brain are connected through the gut-brain axis, and an unhealthy gut can affect mental health. Skin conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, or rosacea can be influenced by gut health. An unhealthy gut may trigger inflammation and lead to various skin problems. Autoimmune conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, or inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), may be associated with an imbalanced gut microbiome and increased gut permeability. Weakened immune system gut health plays a crucial role in immune function.

Is it safe to take Triphala everyday?

Triphala is a traditional Ayurvedic herbal formulation, used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine for its potential health benefits. Triphala is often used to support digestive function. It can help regulate bowel movements, relieve constipation, and promote regularity. Triphala is believed to have detoxifying properties, supporting the elimination of waste and toxins from the body. It may assist in cleansing the colon and promoting overall detoxification. Antioxidant activity, may contribute to overall health and well-being. It's important to note that while triphala has a long history of use and anecdotal evidence supporting its benefits, scientific research on its specific effects is still limited. As with any herbal supplement, it's advisable to consult with a healthcare professional before starting triphala, especially if you have any underlying health conditions or are taking other medications.

What is Triphala?

Triphala is generally considered safe for most people when taken as directed. It is a well-tolerated herbal formulation with a long history of use in traditional Ayurvedic medicine. However, individual reactions and sensitivities can vary, so it's important to be aware of potential side effects and consider certain factors before taking triphala every day.

Does Triphala work immediately?

The effects of triphala can vary from person to person, and it may not work immediately for everyone. Triphala is a natural herbal formulation, and its benefits may take some time to manifest. Each person's body may respond differently to triphala. Some individuals may experience noticeable benefits relatively quickly, while others may require more time to see significant changes. Factors such as overall health, lifestyle, diet, and individual biochemistry can influence how quickly triphala works for an individual.
