Crafted the Traditional
Ayurvedic Way

The secret to the true potency of Chyawanprash lies in its careful selection, preparation & blending process. It’s not just about using the right Chyawanprash ingredients—it’s about how they’re prepared & blended to unlock their full Ayurvedic potential.

STEP 1: FRESH AMLA

We begin with wild-harvested Amla pulp—never dried powder—for maximum vitamin C and antioxidant content. This keeps the blend rich, juicy, and nutritionally intact.

STEP 2: SLOW COOKING

Herbs are gently cooked in traditional bronze Uruli vessels. This slow, open-fire method preserves delicate compounds and helps unlock the herbs’ natural synergy.

STEP 3: ADD GHEE

We infuse the blend with grass-fed ghee —known in Ayurveda as anupanas, or carriers, that help herbs absorb more effectively in the body.

STEP 4: INFUSE

The final blend is left to rest, giving each ingredient time to settle and synergise. This extended infusion allows the formula to fully activate before it reaches you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the key Chyawanprash ingredients?

Chyawanprash is known by several alternative names due to differences in pronunciation and transliteration. These include Chyavanaprasha, Chyawanprakash, Chyawanprasha, Cavanpras, Chamanplas, and Chramprash. While the spellings may vary, they all refer to the same traditional Ayurvedic jam made with over 30 Chyawanprash ingredients.

Is it suitable for all doshas?

Yes—Chyawanprash is considered a Rasayana (rejuvenator) and is generally balancing for all three doshas when taken in the appropriate way. For Pitta or Vata, take with warm milk (dairy or plant-based). For Kapha, warm water is preferred. All doshas can take it straight from the spoon.

Is this version of Chyawanprash vegetarian or vegan?

Our Chyawanprash is vegetarian-friendly but not vegan, as it contains ethically sourced ghee—one of the key Chyawanprash contents. Ghee is known in Ayurveda as an anupana (carrier) that enhances the absorption of the herbal properties in this traditional Ayurvedic jam.

Why is Chyawanprash considered an Ayurvedic jam?

Chyawanprash is often referred to as an Ayurvedic jam because of its thick, fruit-and-herb base made from Amla, ghee & sweeteners like jaggery or raw sugar. It’s cooked slowly with herbs until it forms a dense, nourishing paste.

Does Chyawanprash need refrigeration?

No, this ancient herbal jam does not require refrigeration. Store it in a cool, dry place and always use a clean spoon to preserve the freshness of the Chyawanprash ingredients.

Is your version authentic?

Absolutely. Handcrafted by women using Ayurvedic traditions in Kerala, the birthplace of Ayurveda. Our Chyawanprash is made using time-honoured methods, starting with fresh Amla pulp (never powder), infused with grass-fed Ghee and cooked in traditional bronze vessels. Every spoonful is packed with authentic ingredients for Chyawanprash, staying true to the original Ayurvedic jam formulation.

Are the ingredients for Chyawanprash always the same?

Not exactly. While core ingredients for Chyawanprash—like Amla, ghee, and sesame oil—are consistent, the exact herbal blend can vary by region or brand. At Fushi, we stay true to the classical recipe, using only authentic, whole Chyawanprash ingredients to deliver a formula as close to the original as possible.

Can Chyawanprash be taken by individuals with diabetes?

Traditional Chyawanprash contains sugar, which may not be suitable for individuals with diabetes.
