What does Ashwagandha do for the body?
Ashwagandha is an adaptogenic herb that has been traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine for centuries. It is known for its potential to help the body adapt to stress and promote overall well-being. Some studies suggest that it may help lower cortisol levels, a hormone associated with stress. By reducing stress, Ashwagandha may contribute to a sense of calmness and relaxation.
Is it good to take Ashwagandha everyday?
Ashwagandha is generally considered safe when taken in appropriate doses. However, it's important to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new supplement regimen, especially if you have underlying health conditions or are taking medications. They can provide personalised advice based on your specific circumstances. Ongoing research suggests that Ashwagandha may have benefits in stress reduction, anxiety, and immune support, but more studies are needed to establish its efficacy and safety in various health conditions. Therefore, if you're considering taking Ashwagandha daily, it's advisable to seek guidance from a healthcare professional who can consider your individual health needs and circumstances.
Does Ashwagandha have any side effects?
Small-to-medium does of Ashwagandha are normally tolerated by most people. It's not recommended during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or for those with liver conditions and autoimmune concerns. Ashwagandha may interact with medications for thyroid function, blood pressure, diabetes, and immune support. We suggest you take the recommended dosage and speak with your healthcare practitioner before beginning, particularly if you're taking medications. Discontinue use if you experience any discomfort.
How long does it take Ashwagandha to work?
It can take anything from 2-3 days to many weeks for Ashwagandha to work. According to current research, it may take 10 or more weeks to reach optimum stress and anxiety reduction advantages.
