Are there benefits of drinking amla juice on an empty stomach?

Due to the acidity of Amla Juice, it can be beneficial to take Amla Juice first thing in the morning before food. There rationale being that the antioxidant rich fruit with its bitter flavour awakens your system and aids in digestion to promote cleansing. In traditional Ayurveda it would be mixed with honey or turmeric. It is recommended that if consuming Amla on an empty stomach, it should be diluted with room temperature/warm water in order to avoid triggering acidity in the digestive system.
